Our Story

The Original Craft Night was born out of a passion for crafting and a desire to create a fun and social environment for adults to connect and create. We left our careers in nursing and started selling crafts at fairs and eventually expanding into hosting monthly crafting events at local pubs and restaurants.

At our events, participants can enjoy a personalized, creative experience while socializing with friends and family, and making new connections. Our Creative Facilitators guide our attendees through easy-to-complete art projects for a night of fun with friends or family.

Join our community of crafters, support local, and have a blast while creating lasting memories. Come see why we're excited about the future of crafting and the joy it brings to everyone involved!

Meet the Team!

Amy

Creative Facilitator

Hi! I am Amy. I grew up on Vancouver island and just love it here! I have attended many social paint and craft events as a customer, and now I feel the need to help bring this joy to others. I ran a women’s group for six months, helping others avoid isolation and promoting better brain health. Phemie and Vicki are great people, and they sparked my interest in joining TOCN. They are respectful and cheerful, and I want to help create that same atmosphere in the world, one craft at a time. I live for sunrises and sunsets. Anything adventurous and silly, I’m in! I also enjoy camping, fishing, jeeping, boating, kayaking, and spending time with my family. I work at schools and am transitioning careers from clerical to education assistant. I am attending university and I'm excited to learn how to help our neurodiverse youth navigate school and life. I aim to make their day better by being there beside them.

Krissie

Creative Facilitator

Hi my name is Krissie, my husband and I are originally from Victoria, but lived in Kamloops for the past 30 years. We just recently moved back to the Island in Bowser. I am recently retired from Ministry of Forests as a First Nations Consultation Coordinator. I have always enjoyed doing crafts to give away, and have attended pub nights, as well as taught some crafts for groups. Only Vicki and Phemie would think to dominate the world with crafts, so I have joined TOCN to help conquer my little area. Looking forward to sharing all the fun crafts in my little corner. And hoping it gets me out of the house in this new phase of my life.
